The SEMA Show 2016 took over Las Vegas November 1-4, and Avery Dennison had a major presence with new products, live car wrap demonstrations, special guests and the crowning of the King of the Wrap World.
World-renowned installers Justin Pate of the Wrap Institute, Jim Miller of Miller Decals, John Duever of Vinyl Images and Joffrey Van der Jagt of Prowrap Professional Carwrapping combined for 11 full car wraps on a Gas Monkey Racing racecar over the four day trade show. These wraps utilized ColorFlow Supreme Wrapping™ Films, MPI 1105 supercast film and Colored Overlaminates for Conform Chrome films to create incredible color combinations and visual effects. The final wrap will be used in a race by Gas Monkey Racing driver Alex Laughlin.
Technical Specialists also showed off their wrapping skills with mini hood wrap demonstrations. Visitors at the booth got to see their work with ColorFlow, printed MPI 1105 and Conform Chrome films on a smaller scale.
The first ever Australia and New Zealand Regional King, Nick Caminiti of Exotic Graphix, beat out seven other regional winners to capture the King of the Wrap World title. Richard Rawlings of Gas Monkey Garage was on hand November 2 to present Caminiti with the winner’s trophy. The ultimate prize package, valued at almost $5,000, also includes a $1,000 cash prize, a King of the Wrap World trophy and almost $1,000 worth of marketing support from Avery Dennison.
